Volunteers

Our charity is built and run by volunteers. They are the driving force behind everything we do. They ensure we can give more children and adults a chance to engage in sports activities.

Volunteering can help develop new skills, gain valuable experience and connect with others who have different backgrounds and experiences.

Our volunteers come in all shapes and sizes! We have Duke of Edinburgh students, retirees, business men and women, stay at home parents, school staff and sports leaders.

The roles we are looking for currently are as follows:

Ad Hoc Shoe Cleaners

We’re looking for volunteers to help clean shoes, when needed.

We hold drop in sessions in Apsley where we meet up for tea, cake and a chat, whilst we clean!

The dates and times vary but they tend to be once or twice a month between 10am-1pm. Stay for as long or as little as you like. All cleaning products and cake will be provided!

Register your interest with us and we’ll add you to our WhatsApp group to receive updates about sessions.

Recycling Bin Guardian

We’re looking for volunteers to look after our recycling bins. Your role will be to pick up the shoes from one of our bins once a week, take them home and clean any shoes that need it. You’ll then need to drop the shoes to us in Hemel Hempstead.

We have recycling bins in Hemel, Berkhamsted, St. Albans and Luton.

All petrol costs will be reimbursed.

Drivers
