Volunteers
Our charity is built and run by volunteers. They are the driving force behind everything we do. They ensure we can give more children and adults a chance to engage in sports activities.
Volunteering can help develop new skills, gain valuable experience and connect with others who have different backgrounds and experiences.
Our volunteers come in all shapes and sizes! We have corporate volunteers, Duke of Edinburgh students, retirees, business men and women, stay at home parents, school staff and sports leaders.
The roles we are looking for currently are below.
Drop in Shoe Cleaning Sessions
We’re looking for volunteers to help clean shoes.
We hold drop in sessions in Hemel where we meet up for tea, cake and a chat, whilst we clean!
The dates vary, but they tend to be on a Friday between 10am - 1pm, once or twice a month.
Stay for as long or as little as you like. All cleaning products and cake will be provided!

Shop volunteers
We have a Pop In Shop where individuals can come and look at our shoes and try them on.
We are looking for volunteers to run the shop once a month (or more!)
Our Pop In is open every Tuesday from 3pm- 5.30pm. It’s located at The Green Container, The Active Hub, Rebourn Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7BA.

Drivers
We’re looking for volunteers to pick up our shoes from one or more of our recycling bins on a weekly basis. You will then need to drop them off with us in Hemel.
We have recycling bins in Hemel, Berkhamsted, St. Albans, Harpenden and Luton.
All petrol costs will be reimbursed.
